The underlying and overarching purpose of this site is to inform colloquially about aspects of the nuclear world. This is a space for casual discussions rather than being a lecture studio or lab.
As a result there are some things I should make clear:
- This site is not meant to be a cited source. I have not peer reviewed and referenced facts on this site on purpose. Most things on here are from my own knowledge and experience. I wanted to discuss these like I would with my friends over coffee, rather than how I will discuss them in my thesis.
- If you want referenced facts and evidence, it’s all out there and easily accessible via Google. I might suggest some books and articles in some posts, but this site itself is primarily a less formal source.
- It is meant to be a casual, open place to learn about things for the first time, then go and look at textbooks and papers and ask academics if you want to know more. I want people who come here to feel like their friend is chatting to them about this at dinner, rather than a lecturer is talking at them over a presentation.
- Although it’s overwhelmingly evident that I support nuclear power, this site is not a place that is trying to encourage you to support it too. The aim is to educate about it.
